Between October 2012 and March 2013, Lexmark introduced six monochrome MFPs with OEM-rated print speeds from 40 to 50 pages per minute (ppm) and monthly duty cycles between 50,000 and 150,000 pages per month – the MX310, MX410, MX510, MX511, MX610 and MX611.
All six models use the same 2,500 page low yield and 10,000 page standard yield toner cartridges, along with the 60,000 page yield drum unit. The MX510, MX511, MX610 and MX611 models also use a 20,000 “ultra” high yield cartridge. However, cartridge SKUs vary depending upon the market region in which they are sold. Replacement toner cartridges are available in Use and Return (high and low yield) and Non-Return (high yield) versions. Drum units are available in Use and Return versions only.
All models ship with Return Program cartridges; the MX310 with a 1,500 page low yield cartridge, the MX410, MX510 and MX511 with 5,000 page yield “starter” cartridges, the MX610 and MX611 with 7,500 page yield “starter” cartridges.
Toner cartridges used by all models under both OEMs require chips for the printers to function correctly.
